This friendly, hearty guy was rescued from the animal pound after a 6 week confinement and he really wants some friendly folks to love him.
Barney is about 5 years old; a large, well-fed guy who probably lost his owner to a change in lifestyle and was confined at the animal pound way too long. He is a polite, mellow guy who knows the rules: he walks well on a leash, comes when called and is an all around, friendly, good natured guy. He just needs a home to call his own and folks to cherish him.
The HPHS supports spay/neutering of all pets. Adopt from us and your new pet is either already fixed or if too young, comes with a spay/neuter voucher honored by the local veterinarian office in Alturas. Discount spay/neuter vouchers are also available at the Second Chance Thrift Store.
